Growing up and Growing Old Segment: Memorial Weekend

We had another 1st this month. Tayah's first camping trip. We went on our annual camping trip to Memorial Park. I have to say it was a lot colder than most. We got lucky though and only got rained on when we were packing up to come home. Tayah was so happy the whole time. She did great! Dallin of course couldn't have been happier to spend the entire day outside running wild. It was really relaxing and we had a great time. Here are some pictures of our fun...

Mmmmm... S'Mores!

Tayah all bundled and so happy!

Redd Jackson Peterson

May 19th at 1:13 AM my baby sister gave birth to her first baby. He was 17 days early, but very healthy. Redd weighs 7 lbs. even and is 19 1/2 inches long. Her labor and delivery was so quick and smooth, I was jealous! He is so adorable and we are so thankful to have another sweet baby in the family! We love you Katie, Judd and Redd!

Judd giving Katie the baby for the first time. It was one of the most touching and sweet things I have ever seen!

Some of the reasons they chose his name is because they were married in Redlands California in the Redlands temple (and Judd is the biggest Ute fan I have ever met!) Jackson comes from Judd's grandpa. It was his middle name. What a sweet baby!

I think it might be summer!

It finally felt like summer today. We went over to Brian's parents and had a water day. Dallin and his cousins spent the afternoon playing on the waterslide and having a picnic. It was such a beautiful day, we just sat out there with Tayah enjoying the sunshine! It made me so excited for summer, only two weeks of school to go. I can't wait!

Mother's Day!

I had a great day yesterday. I love opportunities to reflect on what is really important and get a chance to look inside yourself and to make goals and plans for improvement. I think that Mother's day is a mix of both those.

I am so grateful for Brian and the love that he always shows me. Thanks sweetie for the wonderful gift and the great day that we had. I love you! Thanks for giving me the opportunity to become a wife and mom!

And my little ones are so precious. I can't remember life without them, nor could I imagine myself living without them. They make me so happy. I am proud to be your mommy and I love you both beyond words!

Thanks again for a wonderful day!
