Tayah the cheerleader.

Tayah's new cheer stunt move begins in this position. Right on Grandpa's knee.
Then she stands right up on Grandpa's hands. Sometimes, they even do additional tricks, like dropping one arm down, so that she is in a lunge position in the air and then switching sides.

And ends with a plop back down on Grandpa's knees!

She loves this stunt and always wants to do it again and again. This little trick has been done with all the grand kids. Some like it, and some don't. As you can see, she loves it.
But I am pretty sure if she keeps going the way she is with heights, she won't be the one in the air. She could be a really good back spot, that is definitely where a girl over 5 foot 10 inches would be.

Busy Weekend

On Friday night, I had my 10 year high school reunion! Wow, the time has gone by fast. It seems like we just barely graduated, and here we all are, getting close to 30. Most of our friends from High school live out of state and couldn't make it. So, of the girls we really hung out with, it was just Kami and I. Most of our close guy friends were there, and they looked great. We went to Maddox Lodge for dinner. It was good to see a lot of people that I haven't seen in a long time. We had a fun night.
(Not the best picture... I look a little like a raccoon for some reason, I swear my make-up didn't really look like that.)

On Saturday, we got up and headed up to Memorial Park with my Mom's family. Most of them had been there for a few days. It was a little cool, but so fun. We hung out most of the morning and afternoon, just chatting. We had a delicious dutch oven dinner and then hung out by the fire for a few minutes. Then we headed home for bed.
We had a few horse shoe tournaments, and they were so fun. The first time my cousin Emily and I were partners. We took 2nd place. For the 2nd tournament, my little sister Katie and I were partners. We kicked butt, and took 1st place. We were both on a roll. It was a great time.

Here is Tayah posing for the camera, what a doll. She was so good all day and played so well with the other little ones.

Dallin enjoying a nice marshmallow before we left for the night. He played so hard all day. They went for a hike, played T-ball, and just ran wild. He was so tired when we left.

We always have a good time with my mom's family... they are hilarious. I am sad we missed out on the other days of camping, but we had a really fun day, and a great weekend to kick off summer!

Happy Anniversary!

Yesterday, my hubby and I had our 7 year anniversary. Those of you that were there, can probably remember sweating profusely at our wedding luncheon. It was a beautiful day, and a great experience.
I can't believe the time has gone so fast, and so many things have happened. We were talking about all the changes that have occurred in our time together-- and we counted a lot more blessings than trials. I couldn't have asked for a better man. He is great, handsome, kind, caring, and not to mention super funny. I need someone to make me laugh, and I can always count on him for that!

We didn't get to celebrate, because we had a busy weekend. 10 year high school reunion, and a family camp out... so we will hold off until next weekend.
I love you, Brian. More than words can express. Happy anniversary!

Celebrating Lasts...

This week we have had a lot of "Lasts" to celebrate. We are excited to start some new chapters, but sad to see the old go. First off, today was the last day of school for me!! Hello, summer. I am so excited--it is going to be great!! Also, we will be starting a new baby sitter in the fall, which I am excited for. Catherine is going to be great and closer to home-- so I am happy. My kids love her little girl, and will get along so well. But that meant we needed to say goodbye to the ladies that have loved my little ones so much in the last little while. It was a hard few days.
Today was Dallin's last day at Katie's house. He has been going there since he was 18 months. It has been a great 3 years. Katie decided to go back to work, and so she is stopping her daycare over the summer. We will miss her. She did a lot of fun things with the kids, tons of crafts and cooking. Dallin especially enjoyed making his own pizzas and pretzels. Dallin had a blast there and we will miss her a lot.
Dallin has made a lot of friends at Katie's house, there were quite a few kids to play with. One of his best buddies though, is Katie's son Ethan. They loved to play together and build things. Ethan starts 1st grade next year, so Dallin would have missed him like crazy anyway.

Here is Tayah with her sweet sitter, Kristen. They started out going to different people, because Katie didn't take infants, but we kept Tayah here because we loved it so much. Tayah had her last day there on Tuesday. She has been going to her house since she was 3 months old. It was just Tayah and Kaleigh, Kristen's daughter. It has been so fun and a great experience for her. She has had so much fun there and been loved, like crazy. She loves Kristen's little girl, and they were so good together. Needless to say, Tayah was the only one not crying when we left that day. Kristen is just going to stay home with Kayleigh.

Here are Tayah and Kayleigh in the Princess hats they made on her last day, what silly faces. They have been such cute friends, one of Tayah's first buddies.

What fun experiences, and they have been great! All we need is a few months to relax and party it up, and then we will start fresh in the fall! Wahoo...
