July 4th

This 4th was a little different than most, considering we have a 2 week old. We were a lot more low key than usual.
We still got up early and hit the PC parade. Dallin rode in the kids parade with his cousins and then came back to catch candy with Tayah.
We headed over to the park for about an hour and let the kids play some games, then went home.
We ate dinner at Brian's mom's house then I took Dallin and Tayah to the fireworks while Brian stayed home with our sweet Quincey.

Here is our little doll in her patriotic outfit.

Baby Quincey

Quincey Anne

I need to write this all down, before my memories fade. I just need to say that giving birth is the most amazing experience on this earth. I loved all three times I have gotten to experience it.
The week you were born, Daddy was supposed to be on a trip with the Young Men, but we decided that it wasn't a good idea for him to be so far away without cell phone service. So he drove the boys up to the Unitahs on Wednesday and then drove home on Wednesday night. Thursday morning had gone well. I did a lot of cleaning and took Dallin and Tayah to swim lessons. When Dad got home from work, I was making some food and my water broke!
That was at about 5:45 PM.
We scrambled to get all the bags packed and got cleaned up and headed to McKay Dee hospital. We got all settled in a room by around 8:30. I wasn't progressing very fast and at midnight, I was only a 5... I had gone in at a 3. So they had me change positions a few times, and at 1:30 AM, I was a 6 plus. About 30 minutes later, I felt like you were ready and we were getting close. So at 2:10 Daddy went to get the nurse, and sure enough, it was go time!

We called Granny Deb, who had Dallin and Tayah and called the doctor.
When the Doctor arrived, we pushed through one contraction and you were born.

June 24th, 2011--2:47 AM--Weight 7.4--Length 20 inches
Granny was in the room when you were born, and she loved it!

You were crying so loud and looked so beautiful. Mommy snuggled you for a few minutes before they wrapped you up and let everyone come in. Dallin and Tayah were so excited to meet you.

When everyone left, you were super hungry and tired.
You were an answer to our prayers and we are so glad that you are here!
We love our Quincey Anne!
