Swim Lessons

Dallin took swim lessons for the first time this year. He took from teacher Holly and loved every minute of it. He is a little fish and especially loves the back float. They played some fun games that Dallin couldn't quit talking about. Like Star Wars, Good guys and Bad guys, Red light/Green light, and lots of others. Way to go bud, you did so good!
This is Dallin's class. His cute friend Drake, Cousin Griffin, Dallin, and a darling little girl named Rachel.

Getting ready to dunk himself.

Doing his favorite, the backfloat!
Practicing a rescue.

Growing up and Growing Old Segment: We Have a 9 Month Old!

Tayah turned 9 months on the 14th of July. I can't believe that time has gone so quickly. It seems like yesterday that we brought our sweet baby girl home and now she is so big. She really is a great baby. We just love her so much and can't get enough of her. Here are her current stats and some other info. about our little princess.

  • Weight: 18 pounds 8 ounces (50th percentile)
  • Length: 27.75 inches (50th percentile)

  • Head: 43.8 cm (50th percentile)

  • She still just has two teeth on the bottom.

  • Learned to really crawl and not just scoot on July 15th

  • Pulls herself up to anything she can

  • Is a good eater, unless it is a green vegetable. Which she won't eat at all.

  • She is a very observant baby. She watches everything and just soaks it all in. It makes you wonder what she is thinking.

  • Only cries when she is hungry, tired, or her brother is bugging her.

  • Loves her mommy, daddy, brother, and Grandparents! (especially Grandpa Dell)

Tayah, you are growing up so fast. We love you and are so glad that you are ours!

Family Reunion #1--Memorial Park

For my mom's family reunion we went up to Memorial Park over the weekend of the Fourth. We had such a fun time! We are really close as cousins, and this was just another chance for us to spend time with each other.

We played two tournaments of horseshoes. We drew for partners, there was a male and a female on each team. Neither of my teams did very hot. But Brian was paired with my mom the first round and they ended up winning! Who could have guessed that Brian was good at horseshoes. (Just kidding, he is great at any sport, if you could call this a sport.) There were a lot of games of hearts played and dominos, as well as a little of the video version of "Family Feud." I was on the ultimate winning team! :)

The little ones, just ran around getting dirty. They rode bikes, went on hikes, played baseball, and ate a lot of treats.

Overall, it was a lot of fun and we are so glad that we have such an awesome family that we love to spend time with! Thanks mom for planning a great time!

Happy 4th of July!

This is one of our favorite times in the year! We love the parades, the fireworks, being with family and friends! Instead of our regular routine of Plain City parade, games at the park, Farr West dinner and fireworks. We are going to Riverdale parade and then heading up the canyon to a family reunion, we are excited to spend our time with our families. I am sure that we will have a great time just being together. We hope you all do too.
I also just wanted to say how grateful we are for our freedom. We get a chance to celebrate everything that we take for granted on a daily basis. Our opportunity to have an equal education, to choose our own jobs, and practice the religion that we find to be true. The best part about that is that everyone, no matter who you are gets those same opportunities. We are so lucky to live in America!
