Thanksgiving 2010

I didn't take any pictures for Thanksgiving, but we had a great day. I love to spend time with family and just enjoy and relax. It was a great holiday.

I had my kids make a cute little turkey craft for their Grandparents and put it on some yummy pumpkin cupcakes. The back of the turkey had this cute little poem.

We wanted to make a turkey

For Thanksgiving day,

But our oven's kind of slow,

Much to our dismay.

So we'll just have to sit and wait,

And hope that time will fly.

Because our next little turkey,

Won't be here till July!

We are so excited to be welcoming in another little one soon!

July 2nd, 2011 is our due date.

I am a horrible slacker, and haven't had my kids pictures taken in a long time. So, I finally got it together and had Kami do a photo shoot. She is so amazing! She always comes back with awesome pictures, even when the models aren't cooperating (Dallin).

Halloween 2010

We always do a lot of fun activities over Halloween.

We started off with carving pumpkins, and I forgot to take pictures of their finished products. But they did a great job.

On Friday afternoon, we headed over to Brians parent's to have a little party.

The kids had lunch, played bingo, did a craft, and decorated cookies.

On Friday night, we had our neighborhood Halloween parade. This is a favorite! The kids parade up and down the street, and get a ton of treats from people sitting in lawn chairs along the sidewalk. It was a lot of fun.
Dallin and Tayah were the Scarecrow and Dorothy from Wizard of Oz.
Brian's family did a Wizard of Oz theme... and we had every character. They were so cute!

On Saturday, we went to my parent's house for another little party. We had lunch and then the kids went trick-or-treating to all the aunts to get their special prizes.

The funniest costume was my brother in law, Judd's. He came in dressed as my dad! It was so funny. When he walked in, he got all our attention by yelling a famous Blake statement.... "Hey kid, get the h... off my bus!"

It was hilarious!

We had a great Halloween and hope you did too!

Tayah's Birthday

I really can't believe that she is already 3! Time has gone so fast and she is so big! And couldn't be any cuter, we just love this little one!

On her actual Birthday we she wanted to go bowling and then to McDonald's. We had a good time with just our little family.

A few days before that, we had her Birthday party with our families.

She chose Strawberry Shortcake.

Of course, she had an adorable cake and cupcakes! Brian's mom, Ruth, does an amazing job on these and they are always so special.

I made up a scavenger hunt game for the kids with all of Strawberry Shortcake's friends. It started it out with the evil Purple Pie Man trying to steal all the treats for their goodie bags... So the kids had to find each character and get the candy for their bag.

Here is one of the clues. The kids really loved it and were so excited to find all the prizes.

Dallin's First day of Kindergarten

I really can't believe that Dallin is so big! I was prepared for this day, and was a little sad, but was holding together really well because he was so excited!

This was my attempt at a before school picture, as you can see it was a little bright. He was also pretty antsy and wouldn't let me try another pose in a different spot, so this is what I got.


After he jumped on the bus, I got in the car and followed him to school. I was a little worried that he wouldn't find his way. Even though this summer he did an awesome program called Jump Start to Kindergarten. In it, he got to go to school for 4 days in a row and learn what school would be like. So he knew where his class was and knew his teacher.

He did great and is learning so much! We are so proud of him!



When Tayah and I left, we stopped by my Sister-in-law Michelle's house and she gave me this poem... then I started to cry!

Kindergarten Wonder

For this is the first step in letting my baby go.





He's not a baby anymore! Next thing we know, he will be in Junior High....but I am so excited to see him learn and grow along the way! Love it!

Lake Powell: Labor Day Weekend

We headed down to Lake Powell over Labor day with some of my family and our great family friends the Knights. It was a fabulous time, we always have so much fun with them!

We stayed at a hotel in Page, and boated all day and then came back for dinner, showers, and a good nights sleep... then repeated the next day. We were worn out by the end!

There was a big group this year, so besides the ski boats, they rented a house boat and had it parked at Cookie Jar.

That is cookie jar in the back ground. If you look close, you can see that it is pretty round with a little rock on top as the lid.

The houseboat had a slide, and I think Dallin went down it about 200 times! He loved it. All the kids would go down the slide, and then get into the hot tub on top of the house boat to warm up, and then get out and go again.

Tayah was loving the older girls there. She wanted to be with Bobby the whole time. And Bobby was so cute to snuggle her and play with her.

We went on a few boat rides while we were there, and we to Dangling Rope for ice cream both days. Here are my dolls enjoying the view.

On one of the rides we headed up Cathedral Canyon. It is a tight fit, but so pretty. It was a lot of fun to see how far back we could get these big boats. We were pushing off the canyon walls at times so the boat wouldn't hit.
We also spent a ton of time playing. Here is Brian tearing it up on the ski.

There were also some Wave Runners. My kids were a little afraid to get on them, but once they took a ride, they loved it. Dallin went with both Mommy and Daddy.

We went cliff jumping both days. It was a great place that had a gradual incline. The little kids could jump from down low. And then I jumped from about 15 feet, and then the crazy people jumped from about 45-50 feet!

We did a lot of swimming too.

It was an amazing time! Probably one of the best weekends we have had in a long time. Even though, it was a 7 hour drive there and back! Loved it! Lake Powell is really one of the most beautiful places in the world!

Especially when spent with great people!

Judd Family Reunion

For my Mom's family reunion this year we headed up to Little Bear River Resort. Which is sort of by Logan. It was a really nice place with a lot of grass and a little shallow river, which was great for wading. It was a nice fun trip!

Swimming at Nona's

We love summer! Especially spending time together with family.

My wonderful Aunt Nona helps keep our family close by having family swim days once a week.

It is so nice to go and visit with my cousins and let the kids swim out all their energy.

Brian had work off and came to swim day with us. The kids loved swimming with Daddy.

Tayah loves Chloe! Whenever Chloe is around, Tayah is following and the pool is no exception. I am just glad that Chloe loves her too! They spent a lot of time swimming together.

Dallin is getting better at swimming. Thanks to his swim lessons. He would spend most of the time without floaties. He even goes off the diving board without them. I still watch him very closely, but he is learning and my aunts house is a good place for him to practcie.

So, as you can see a lot of our summer was spent pool side!

Weber County Fair

My mom and sisters and I took the kids out to the fair this year. It was a windy day, which was good because it wasn't too hot and the kids loved all the animals.

The pigs owner let them get in the pen and pet the pig.

In the rabbit room, there were a ton of signs saying "don't touch." But then there was a lady that let the kids hold the baby ones she had. My kids loved it!

This year there was an exotic animal show as well. It was a little over-rated, but the kids liked it...

Oh, and did I mention that I ate a scone the size of a small child? Oh, well here it is in the stroller as I pushed it to our table. Yum!
